What Riders Say

Every review below was left by someone I drove myself, here in the San Gabriel Valley. There is no dispatch pool at Arkwood, so the driver they are describing is the one who will show up for you.

I was looking for private transportation for my parents coming in from Taiwan and was hoping to find someone that speaks Mandarin and was recommended to give Chris a call. He was able to pick them up from LAX back to the SGV and most importantly was able to meet them at the terminal curbside so they wouldn’t have to walk far. I highly recommend Arkwood transportation!

Besides being reliable and always on time, Chris knows all the ins and outs of LA. Even when traffic or construction conditions are unpredictable, Chris is able to apply his expertise and experience to ensure smooth and safe transportation service. Could not ask for more. Thanks!

Had a great experience with my driver, Chris. He was punctual, professional, and made the whole ride stress-free from start to finish. The car was clean and comfortable, and he drove safely while still getting me to LAX Terminal 3 on time. … I will also be using Arkwood to my Sofi events from now on.

Why Riders Choose Arkwood

Almost everything below is possible only because one person runs the whole operation.

The same driver, every trip

Arkwood is owner-operated. The person who takes your booking is the person who pulls up, so nothing gets lost in a handoff to a stranger.

The price is set before you book

Your rate is quoted upfront and does not move with traffic, demand, or the hour. No surge, no meter, no recalculation at drop-off.

English or Mandarin, either way

Booking, pickup instructions, and the conversation on the road can all happen in Mandarin. It matters most when a terminal changes or a flight slips.

Met at the curb, not a parking lot

Text when you have your bags and I pull into the terminal curb. No shuttle to a rideshare lot and no walking the length of the airport with luggage.

Your car seat, stored free

Leave it with me on the way out and it is installed and waiting when you land, instead of riding to the airport and home again for nothing.

Twelve thousand rides, nine years

All of it in the San Gabriel Valley and across Southern California. The routes, the shortcuts, and the airport curbs are known ground.

Meet Your Driver

I’m Chris Lee. I was born and raised in San Gabriel, and I’ve spent the last nine years driving people around this valley and the rest of Southern California — a little over twelve thousand rides so far.

Before this I worked in IT. I left that career for work where the result is obvious at the end of every job: someone got where they needed to be, on time, without the day falling apart around it. About a third of my rides are airport runs. The rest is everything else the valley needs — appointments, events, cruise ports, and standing weekly trips for regulars.

Mandarin came from my family rather than a classroom, which is why booking and the ride itself can both happen in it.

How Booking Works

Three steps, no app, and a person on the other end of every one of them.

1

Tell me the trip

Call or text (626) 625-2799, or send the details through the quote form. I need your pickup address, where you’re going, the date and time, and how many people are riding.

If it’s an airport run, your flight number helps too.

2

Get your price and confirm

I quote you a fixed rate for that specific trip. Nothing is estimated and nothing changes later — the number you agree to is the number you pay.

Once you confirm, that pickup slot is held for you alone. Bookings are first come, first served, so early morning departures and holiday travel are worth locking in well ahead.

3

I show up and drive

For airport and cruise pickups I track your flight or your ship and adjust to delays at no extra charge, then meet you at the curb rather than a rideshare lot.

Payment is handled at the end of the ride. No deposit, no prepayment, and no cancellation fee.

Where I Drive

Pickups across the San Gabriel Valley, seven days a week, from before dawn to after midnight. If your city isn’t on this list it is very likely still covered — just ask.
